Ed has headed his own Washington, DC-based training and consulting firm since 1995, and has spent more than 30 years in media and advertising.
He began his advertising career at the bottom – in the mailroom of a large New York agency just after the Mad Men era. His talents went unrecognized there; the agency has since disappeared.
He works in the USA and worldwide for independent and multinational agencies that include OMD, Dentsu Aegis Network, GroupM, McCann Worldgroup, and Omnicom. He also presents the Executive Leadership Program for The 4As in the US, and has been a member of the adjunct faculty at Northwestern University in Chicago.
Ed developed and presented computer-based leadership simulations in media and advertising, along with case studies learning tools. He introduced professional sales training to agency account directors, and also trains salespeople in media companies. Earlier in his career he was a broadcaster, journalist and media executive.
