These are self-paced sales training programs developed for sales representatives, one for newspaper advertising and another for radio advertising. The program includes 19 modules (newspapers) or 18 (radio), developed by experts. They can be completed in any order and at your new hire’s own pace, with or without a computer.
How It Works: You receive a CD containing all of the modules in PDF format, ready to print. New salespeople are assigned to read each module and then complete three or four exercises about what they’ve learned.
A second CD contains the modules plus a discussion guide for the sales manager’s meeting with the new rep to review the content and the exercises to test for understanding and cover local differences.
We suggest that the program be completed within 30-60 days of hire. It can’t take the place of field rides, one-on-one training by the sales manager, and training with more experienced salespeople. But it can help make your new hires more productive in less time.
